Jazzmutant Lemur AeroDynamic Routine
This is salutation to Ean Golden’s DJ Tech Tools Tutorial. I utilised Ableton springy 8 and a Jazzmutant Lemur. Thanks to Ean for distribution his ideas and knowledge. This is what I came up with in response. See Ean’s tutorial at www.djtecjtools.com Songs used: Aerodynamic (Daft stripling Extended Remix) by Daft Punk Plant Rock by Afrika Bambaataa & the Soulsonic Force Technologic by Daft Punk
Dude that was awesome, would you mind sharing the set?
That was freaking awesome!! Man I wish I had the money for a Lemur =/
i wish i could afford one. i would be able to do way more than what most do.
wish i could afford 1, let alone 2.
You both bring up great points. This argument happens all the time when talking about controllerists vs dj’s. I guess I could set up cue points where I am doing more work(button pressing). Usually when I perform, I set up a camera over my lemurs(I have 2 now) so people can see what I am doing.
Nah not at all, I totally agree with you, the important thing is the sound in the end. But the looks are part of the package, not to mention the feel… I much prefer knobs and faders to touch interfaces, but I’ve never played with a lemur so who knows.
what an awesome equipment
cool vid
Its not really about looking cool though, its about getting a decent sounding track out at the end.
Hell daft punk themselves could be DJing in a club for me, and unless they put out a decent set i wouldnt rate them any better than a wedding dj.
Talent is talent. Looks are irrelevant. (sorry if this comes across as aggressive, its not to be
)
Not the smoothest mix in terms of timings, but still very very good. Really showed what ableton and the lemur is capable of. Gotta add that i am ridiculously jealous of that controller. Would give my left arm for one.
Might be an idea to apply a couple of filters to several of the samples to cut out some of the frequency overlaps. It would make your mix one hell of a lot cleaner.
Keep it up, i’ll watch your channel and hope to see some more mixes along these lines
thank you, good video
Software called Screen Flow
how on earth did you combine your video like that??? class
very good!!
:):):):):)
lol you totally made the “rock rock to the planet rock” drop and put some effects on it. good effort, nice job bringin in one more time
That Lemur is just wicked but I gotta say, Ean looks a lot cooler twiddling knobs, faders, platters, and arcade buttons than you do touching a screen…
