APC40 mix – The Crystal method + Frankie Goes to Hollywood – Relax mixed by Steve Gregory
Busy Child by The Crystal Method is digit of my selection tracks, and it meet happens to impact rattling substantially with Relax by Frankie Goes to Hollywood. This is a springy remix (not prerecorded) using the Akai APC40, streaming Ableton Live on my Mac. I had to EQ and wedge both tracks quite hard to intend them to impact together. I am using the Effectrix, Lucifer, and QuadFrohmage plugins to add whatever of the omissible effects.

I messed around with an APC40 not too long ago, and i found it hard to fade tracks? Is there a special way to do it? or am i just retarded.
for instance: When i was mixing some house tracks, it just seems too abrupt when cueing another song in, like there was too much going on, and then fading from track to track just seemed like it was bad?
feedback anyone? cause i am considering picking up one.

Hi I was wondering if you could do a tutorial on controlling effectrix on audio channels? I’ve managed to get it sorted on a midi channel fine, changing patterns through the ‘pattern keys’ but when I put effectrix onto an audio track i lose that capability, I’ve been looking for a way to side chain it but can’t see it anywhere. I’m sure i’m just missing something simple, if its something small and anyone knows could they please let me know.

No problem. I have a separate clip per MIDI note. This means that when I hit one of the pads it will play G# or something, another one F# etc. This will then trigger the appropriate note repeat on Lucifier (8th, 16th, 32nd) etc. I literally just took the pencil tool and drew in the note for a full bar. The Lucifer manual will help out too. Is that the info you were after?
And you put lucifer onto the master track i assume?
